Rental rates
Our rates apply any time, any day, in any city.
Mileage
In addition to the rental rate above, there is a small charge per mile to cover the cost of fuel. This is monitored every month in line with fluctuations in the cost of fuel at the pumps and is decreased or increased as necessary. We always strive to keep this mileage charge as low as possible.
The current mileage charge is £0.19 per mile.
If you need to fill up the car during your booking, simply pay with the fuel card and the bill will go to City Car Club. At the end of your trip, the in-car computer will calculate how many miles you have driven.
Discount Card membership plan
This is an optional bolt-on to your membership which can save you 20% on rental rates. For members who use the cars more regularly, taking up the Discount Card plan at £12.50 per month brings the hourly rental down to £3.96 (smaller cars) and £4.76 (larger cars). The daily rate then becomes £39.60 (smaller cars) and £47.60 (larger cars). To add this to your membership, simply call the Clubhouse on 0845 330 1234 or email membership@citycarclub.co.uk.
Insurance
Fully comprehensive insurance is included as part of the annual membership fee ( £500 excess)
Reduced excess option (£100): £5.00 per month
Drivers aged 19-20: compulsory £10 per month insurance fee, which comes with a reduced excess of only £250.

However, if membership hasn’t quite suited your lifestyle, all we ask is that you let us know within the first 60 days of joining by emailing membership@citycarclub.co.uk. You’ll need to return your membership card to us, and we will then refund 50% of the annual membership you paid when you became a member.
