Insurance for younger drivers comes at a premium so becoming a member of City Car Club will save a fortune - and no need to stump up the cash for that first car. For a monthly charge of just £10.00 and a low insurance excess of £250 (you wont find excess this low if you insure your own car) you can have a new set of wheels to get yourself around and about. | 50 hybrid cars join the fleet
|
To help our members beat the London congestion charge and reduce their carbon footprint still further, 90% of our existing cars within the Congestion Charge Zone have been replaced for Honda Civic hybrid (dual petrol/electric) cars. These spacious cars are all automatic (we don't have a choice with hybrids) and are a breeze to drive - you would have no idea that they run most of the time in town on an electric engine! They are also nicely leather trimmed and come with air conditioning - quite luxurious. And they cost the same price as our larger cars. Not bad for one of the lowest CO2 producing cars on the road.
Edinburgh, Bristol and Brighton also have a few hybrid cars and the numbers will expand in coming months. |
